Neath Boys and Girls Club

Digital inclusion fund

Neath Boys and Girls Club provides a safe and welcoming space for young people aged 10 to 18 in the local community. The club offers activities, support and opportunities for young people to learn new skills, build confidence and connect with others.

Through social value commitments linked to capital-funded projects within the Swansea Bay City Deal Digital Infrastructure Programme, the club has been awarded a £15,575 Digital Inclusion Fund delivered by BT.

The funding will help transform the club’s base into a modern, digitally equipped youth hub. With improved connectivity and new equipment, the club will be able to offer high-speed internet access, modern computers, industry-standard software and a range of digital learning opportunities including website design, content creation, coding and emerging technologies such as AI and mixed reality.

The organisation is delighted to receive the funding and connectivity support, which will create new opportunities for the young people who use the centre and help them develop important digital skills for the future.

By improving access to technology and digital learning, the club hopes to support young people in Melin, Neath East and surrounding communities to gain the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
