Gigabit Voucher Scheme Projects
Overview
The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme (GBVS) is part of UK Government's Project Gigabit. Eligible homes and businesses can pledge their voucher to the supplier leading the project in their community which will cover up to £4,500 of the cost to build a gigabit-capable connection to each premise in the approved project plan.
Our teams are working with a number of communities who are part of existing voucher scheme projects, offering impartial advice and support. They regularly meet with UK Government's Building Digital UK Team and the suppliers who are delivering these projects to work through any issues, and to ensure deployment is as seamless as possible.
Voucher schemes are currently closed for new applications in our region as UK Government finalise which premises will be upgraded through Project Gigabit's cross regional framework.

Swansea
Openreach have a Fibre Community Partnership project in the Bishopston area. This will connect 550 premises, the project is due for completion by end of December 2024.
