The funding is being made available through the ITS’s Social Value commitments, delivered as part of its contract with the Swansea Bay City Deal Digital Infrastructure Programme.

Three awards of £1,300 are available, with one award being made in each of the following local authority areas:

• Neath Port Talbot

• Pembrokeshire

• Swansea

The funding aims to support local initiatives that help tackle digital exclusion and increase digital confidence, skills and access to technology within communities across the region.

Projects could include activities such as digital skills training, support sessions for people who are digitally excluded, community-based technology initiatives, or enhancements to existing digital inclusion programmes.

Applications will be assessed against a consistent set of criteria, including:

• The proposed activity

• Anticipated impact

• Deliverability

• Value for money

• Expected outputs and outcomes

As Carmarthenshire has already benefited from other ITS social value initiatives, this funding round is focused on organisations in Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea to help ensure equitable access to available support across the Swansea Bay City Region.

Organisations interested in applying are invited to complete a short application form outlining how their project will deliver, enhance or support digital inclusion activity within their local area.
